We knew we were growing fast, but we didn’t realize we were growing that fast! Unit8 is proud and humbled to be featured in the FT1000 – the Financial Times’ top 1000 fastest growing companies in Europe for 2022.
The FT1000 is a ranked list of the top 1000 European companies with the highest revenue growth between 2017 and 2020. As you can imagine, it contains some of the most innovative, creative, and rapidly growing businesses that are key to Europe’s competitive global market position. We are delighted to have been listed as the 17th fastest growing company in Europe (6th amongst the technology companies). We are especially proud to be ranked as the fastest-growing company in Switzerland.
At Unit8, we are not only delighted about this monumental achievement but are thrilled to represent Swiss technological innovation at a European level. As well as this being a recognition of Unit8’s accomplishments, it is a recognition of Switzerland’s exceptional contribution to the innovation sector.
This success was built on technology, client-focus, and innovation.
We managed to accomplish this tremendous growth with the help of various partners in Switzerland and Europe who believed in us. This includes clients who trusted us to accelerate their analytics journey, through to organizations like digitalswitzerland and Innovaud who made it possible for us to grow within the Swiss entrepreneur-friendly community. For this reason, it is important for us to continue our participation in local events and share our knowledge with this fantastic community.
We also forged strong partnerships with technology leaders like Microsoft to accelerate our growth. Unit8 holds three Microsoft Gold Competencies. These certifications are the result of many successful use cases that were accomplished in partnership with this technological leader and demonstrate our consistent, high-quality work.
Growing while staying true to our values
We are on a mission to help our customers make their data valuable using analytics, data science, and AI. We are also committed to creating and maintaining a solid company culture while staying true to our values of teamwork, persistence, client-focus, results-driven, continuous learning, ongoing sharing, and making a positive impact on the world.
Due to these shared values and goals, our company has experienced unprecedented growth since it was founded in 2017. This isn’t just limited to an increase in clients, at Unit8, we have significantly grown our portfolio of services and our team.
We are expanding quickly, but we are not losing sight of what has fuelled our incredible growth. Unit8 is committed to executing our values and nurturing our strong company culture for now and the future. We want the culture that we built so far to stay at our heart, and continue to grow with us, because we believe that the way we do small things becomes the way we do all things.
A personal achievement
When Marcin Pietrzyk founded Unit8 with Michal Rachtan, he had the FT1000 as a personal goal. The pair’s persistence and focus have been instrumental to Unit8’s exponential revenue growth.

Looking forward
For a recent article, we took a step back and reflected on last year’s achievements to understand how we can shape the company to become the analytics service leader in Switzerland and the DACH region. Being on the FT1000 as the fastest-growing Swiss company shows that we are on track to reach this goal. We remain committed to our mission of making data valuable and to our consistent delivery of the highest quality data and AI services. We would like to thank our customers and partners for their belief in us and ongoing collaboration through this time of remarkable growth.
We also want to recognize and express gratitude to our exceptional team. They played a crucial role in this extraordinary achievement, and none of our successes would have been possible without their dedication, passion, and hard work. This journey started with the ambition of two people and is now being shared with a team of 85+ teammates.
